Thing #7

Ah, thing 7 is sooo remeniscent of that Grizzly Adams show. You know the one. Who was that guy? Old Jack? Jack something or other...and his mule...#7. You know...Ah, nevermind.

Well, I read thing 7 and at was inspired. It was easy to set up a Meebo account and realatively easy to add it to the blog. I did use the other name I go by on occassion, Next Gen Sven, which may become a bit confusing. I'd like to do this for our library at some point...but getting buy-in (or corporate clearance) might be a challenge.

Here's a little something I put togehter for a class I was taking for my doctorate degree. It's nothing much...it's not even an honest to goodness photo. But it was handy and that's what matters most...right?

Silly...I can't remember which class it was for.
Flickr is cool, but it did take some getting used to.

Thing #3!!!

RSS feeds have taken over my life!!!! Wow, there's a lot of info out there. I'm becoming a Meredith Farkas groupie I guess. I love having ACRL somewhere I can check frequently. I heard Liz Lawley speak at the MnTx ILL Conference in March. Very easy to do once you've got the hang of it.

Thing #2

The Steven Abrams piece was a bit short for my tastes, but a good introduction to the course...course can I call it that? I've gotten ahold of the Farkas book and am looking for a little time to dig into it. I've become very intrigued in the possiblities that L2 has in store, but have to admit that I feel a little behind the curve on the whole matter. What will be the next big thing? I'm not sure, but I'll try to keep up with the pack this time around.

Sheesh. I'm already way behind. I should be pacing myself. I'll get thing two done tomorrow...hopefully. I enjoy Steve Abram's as a presentor, but haven't mustered the time or energy to get through those videos.
